The National Anti-Corruption Commission ( NACC) has charged Rodjana Kantinan, the wife of deputy interior minister and member of the Pheu Thai Party Kriang, with misbehavior regarding a construction project.

Rodjana: Checked in with two other people.

In 2012, she oversaw the job while serving as the governor of the Nakhon Ubon Ratchathani Municipality in the province.

Ms. Rodjana and two other defendants turned themselves in to the NACC that morning, according to Isranews Agency on Monday. The NACC may obtain an arrest warrant because one another suspect did not appear, it said.

Ms. Rodjana, who served in office from 2009 to 2013, has been accused of” wrongful exercise of duties, taking a personal interest in government property, and purchasing or managing state property.”

A road construction and waste treatment container job allegedly involving Ms. Rodjana and three other people was deemed to be misconduct by the NACC in 2021, but the Office of the Attorney General dismissed the case.

The NACC has brought a Corruption and Misconduct Case Region 3 complaint against the defendants with the Criminal Court in an effort to restart the situation.

With a 9.9 million baht funds to renovate the dikes for the wastewater treatment container and an additional$ 9 million to build the road connecting the tank to the Burapa Canal, the project granted concessions to Ubon Ratchathani company Koondee Enterprise LP.

The NACC claimed that the decision to increase the property’s value, which cost the government 19, 974,000 baht, caused the road to pass through Ms. Rodjana ‘ 27-rai area.

Currently, Worasit Kantinan, a Pheu Thai MP member for Ubon Ratchathani and the son of Mr. Kriang, is the family of the president of Nakhon University.
