ISLAMABAD: According to his attorney, a Pakistani court on Thursday( Sep 14 ) rejected the bail plea of former Prime Minister Imran Khan on charges of disclosing state secrets.
Khan is charged with revealing a classified formal document, known as Cipher, when he waved an official political notice at an event last year.
It appears that a Muslim adviser to Washington and the Islamabad Ministry of Foreign Affairs exchanged letters. Khan claimed at the march that it was evidence of a crime to remove him from office in April 2022.
Judge Abul Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain dismissed the plea in accordance with the Official Secrets Act following a personal reading.
Regarding his refusal of Khan’s appeal, Zulqarnain said nothing right away.
At the hearing, he declared that” irrelevant persons ,” such as journalists and attorneys unrelated to the case, were to leave the room at the government prosecutor’s request.
Naeem Panjutha, Khan’s attorney, criticized the choice to postpone loan.
According to Panjutha, the case’s statistics are crystal clear and call for the court to rule in favor of them.
Khan’s trial in the Cipher situation was extended by a court on Monday until September 26.
