NHSO ready for ‘upgrade’ under new govt’s policies

According to Jadet Thammathataree, secretary-general of the National Health Security Office( NHSO ), the organization will improve its services in accordance with the new administration’s policy.

According to him, the changes relate to the NHSO system’s modern transition and the general healthcare package, also known as the gold card scheme.

The NHSO recently discussed plans that will require the agency’s cooperation with universal health care, known as the” gold cards” structure, and digital change being the main focus with new Public Health Minister Cholnan Srikaew.

The government wants to get the campaign’s promises, including those in the health industry, off to a head start.

The minister stated that the expansion of free cervical cancer vaccinations to all girls aged 11 or older, mental wellness exams that may cover services for transgender people or LGBTQ people, and telemedicine services were the three main concerns covered by policies regarding gold-card benefit support boosts.

According to Dr. Jadet,” We believe the new president’s intention to raise gold card advantages will provide more advantages for people.”

Free cancer vaccinations and preventative care are two projects that Dr. Cholnan instructed the NHSO to navigate in collaboration with the Office of the Permanent Secretary.

In order to lessen the need for patients to visit the hospital, Dr. Jadet added that it may be possible to allow pharmacies to open 24 hrs.

In order to shorten wait times at public hospitals, there are also plans to employ a reservation system for people to see their doctors.

Dr. Jadet responded that some online changes, such as connecting ID cards to the NHSO database, may actually reduce paperwork when asked if the policies do increase doctors’ workloads. Integrating all the information we have is the second phase, according to Dr. Jadet.
