They have participated in complex restoration campaigns and erected statues, sculpture, and billboards. Officials claim that some of the homes were improperly constructed, but people claim they have lost everything and are now poor. Some homes have also been demolished in the days leading up to the event.
Some locations, including key Delhi, where the conference will be held, may have schools, colleges, shops, and offices closed.
