CHIANG RAI: Two alleged drug riders were detained in this northeastern province’s Muang city after having 2 million methamphetamine pills discovered in their car.

On Tuesday evening, police detained Don, 39, from Nong Bua Lamphu, Sri Bun Ruang, and Sanan, 33, both from the Wiang Chiang Rung city of Chiange Rai.

The Office of the Narcotics Control Board Region 5 released information on Wednesday. Names of the offenders were withheld.

The two were accused of linked offenses, including collusion in the possession of illegal drugs with the intent to buy.

The operation came after the arrest of four drug suspects — two men and two women— and the seizure of 4 million meth pills from their three cars in Lampang’s Ngao district on June 15 of this year. According to authorities, the medications were intended for the Central Plains.

As the investigation went on, Mr. Sanan and a man named Suradet were discovered, both Hmong gentlemen without jobs but who were exceedingly wealthy. They frequently took part in cockfights.

Investigators claim that the two men were involved in drug smuggling and had driven singly into the mountains near the border in the Muang district of Chiang Rai on many occasions in August. & nbsp,( follows below )

Ten fertilizer sacks were discovered during a search inside the cabin’s rear seats. Each shift held 200,000 meth pills, or a total of 2 million.

Before the station, the other pickup truck, which was supposedly driven by Mr. Suradet, was discovered abandoned. He had run off into the evening.

During doubting, Mr. Sanan allegedly admitted to having been hired by Mrs. Suradet and Don to obtain the medications from a stranger on Chiang Rai’s Road 1418 and give them to the landfill on Road 131 between Ban Du and Huai Pla Kang.
