Wanted contract killer on police blacklist arrested

SONGKHLA- A plastic farm in the state of Nakhon Si Thammarat has detained an alleged agreement criminal, who is listed as 186 on the Royal Thai Police blacklist of gunmen for hire.

Nipon Srichumpuang, alias Bao, 41, was taken into custody on Sunday evening, according to Pol Col Sakda Charoenkul, assistant chief inspector of Provincial Police Region 9. In the Bang Khan district’s tambon Ban Lam Nao, close to Nam Ning town, he was discovered hiding out in a house.

He is accused of premeditated murder, unlawful possession of a weapon and ammunition, and improperly carrying the artillery in community. He was the subject of an arrest warrant issued by Songkhla’s Nathawi Court on February 12, 2018.

Police discovered ice pills, a.45 semi-automatic pistol, 27 rounds, an M2 rifle rifle, 21 rounds of ammunition, and two.22 much rifles with 30 rounds inside the hut.

On December 18, 2017, a grocery store in Songkhla’s Sadao region was thought to have used the weapon in the murder. Arkhom Promsopha, 56, the head of the manufacturing division at Hat Yai Rubber stock in tambon Prik, was killed by gunmen.

For five defendants, including Mr. Nipon, collar warrants were issued. Three people were formerly detained, and one is still at large.

Mr. Nipon has a criminal history with the law for lease killing. He is number 186 on the authorities list of hired attackers.
