SURAT THANI: A Spanish man was detained for doubting in connection with the identification of human body parts at a waste on the southwestern area of Koh Phangan, which is well-known for hosting Full Moon celebrations.

Police, criminal officers, and health workers from Koh Phangan Hospital responded to the field on Friday after more body parts were discovered in a dark plastic bag at the plop site in the Surat Thani province’s Moo 4 area.

A dark T-shirt, a pair of short, and two red athletes were discovered inside the bag, along with two lower limbs. There were also two other items inside.

At the same waste, trash collectors had found body parts on Thursday, including a sawed-off pelvis and intestines weighing about five kilograms. Due to the pelvis’ length, law think it most likely belonged to a foreign person.

Police detained the suspected Spanish gentleman, who was about 40 years old, on Friday to question him about any potential connections to the body parts.

According to a source, the suspect & nbsp reported his Colombian friend’s disappearance in an earlier missing person report to the Koh Phangan police station.
