South Korea to beef up security measures in the wake of back-to-back stabbing rampages

Following a series of stabbing assaults, police in South Korea will intensify patrols and stop-and-search operations for cautious individuals on the streets.

A & nbsp, a” special policing” operation was declared by the national police chief on Friday( August 4 ), according to Yonhap. & nbsp,

According to Yoon Hee-keun, commissioner general of the National Police Agency( NPA ),” I’m declaring a special police action to counter heinous crimes until the people’s anxiety is relieved.”

” We will carefully stop and browse those suspected of possessing a crossbow or those acting strangely in accordance with legal methods.”

According to the Yonhap statement, he also gave the police the order to use force, including stun guns or firearms, in the event of another stabbing rampage.

After the second stabbing strike in as many times, the increased security measures were declared. & nbsp,

In the heart of Daejeon, a man was detained on Friday after sabotaging the instructor there.

The person rammed his automobile into onlookers the day before, then got out and stabbed several persons in a shopping center in Seongnam. & nbsp,
