The Pheu Thai Party’s candidate for prime minister, former chief executive Srettha Thavisin, was defended by Sansiri Plc on Thursday in response to claims made by journalist Chuvit Kamolvisit that he had participated in tax avoidance.

When Mr. Srettha was the chief executive of Sansiri in August 2019, the former treatment parlor king presented records that he claimed were compelling evidence of constipation.

In order to avoid paying taxes of 521 million baht on the company’s purchase of the premier 400-square-wah property plot on Sarasin Road in Bangkok, Mr. Chuvit claimed that Mrs. Srettha and Sansiri had conspired with the landowners to do so.

The site’s reported purchase amount was 1.57 billion baht, or almost 4 million per square hua( 4 square meters ). It was the most expensive property skill the company had ever made at the time.

According to him, Mr. Srettha approved the purchase and sale contract with the 12 owners of the land combined. According to Mr. Chuvit, the 12 users formed an” ordinary relationship” under which each would be responsible for excise tax on the sale proceeds, which would complete 521 million baht.

Mr. Chuvit claimed that each of the 12 people took 12 days to complete the process of transferring smaller plots to Sansiri in order to avoid paying such a high income. These trades weren’t taxed in the same way as a regular partnership.

Just 59.2 million ringgit in taxes were paid on the deal, according to Mr. Chuvit.

He claimed that Mr. Srettha was unable to dispute his involvement in the case because the company’s minutes revealed his looks and name on the 12 copies of the documents that listed the names of various sellers.

Sansiri stated in its statement that while the business was tasked with making payments at the agreed-upon prices and transferring ownership of the land, the sellers were in charge of paying taxes and rights transfer fees.

According to the statement, the business was unaware of or involved in the sellers’ tax obligations.

According to the speech,” Mr. Srettha approved the order of the land story in his power as the company’s best exec.” & nbsp,

The property group, which was also in charge of coordinating( with the parties involved ), was responsible for the property agreement, payment, and property ownership transfer.

The Department of Land’s right procedures, laws, and rules were followed during the ownership move, it added.

The organization also claimed that it had adhered strictly to the rules and good governance when conducting business.

Pita Limjaroenrat, the president of the Move Forward Party, is disqualified for owning 42, 000 stock in a failed TV company, according to Mr. Chuvit, while more serious offenses go unpunished.

He claimed that” the government doesn’t lose any money from that situation.” However, Mr. Srettha avoided paying taxes in this case, which resulted in status restitution of 521 million ringgit.

He continued,” I will present all the paperwork to the legislators and the House speaker for their consideration in order to determine whether they will help a person who has violated the law by evading taxes.

Mr. Chuvit stated that the Securities and Exchange Commission would even receive his knowledge.

He insisted that Sansiri’s failure to purchase a plot of land he owned had nothing to do with his publication or his desire for personal vengeance.

He continued by saying he had nothing against a candidate for prime minister from the Pheu Thai Party, which has also put forth two other individuals. He privately backs Chaikasem Nitisiri, a legal professional who has Thaksin Shinawatra’s full backing and is still the true force behind the group.

At a press conference on Thursday at The Davis Hotel in Bangkok, past massage parlor king Chuvit Kamolvisit claims that house magnate and lawmaker Srettha Thavisin, the Pheu Thai Party’s candidate for prime minister, evaded taxes.
