CHON BURI: According to Pattaya police, the new video clip depicting a group of tourists with Middle Eastern-looking appearances being held at gunpoint at stoutly located hilltops is false, and the Myanmar workers who took part in the trick now face imprisonment.

A pistol-shaped cigarette lighter and clothes were found in the 99-minute video clip after two Myanmar men, ages 25 and 22, were detained at a convenience keep on Soi Bongkot Road on Wednesday evening, according to authorities.

Kaeo Saw, one of the suspects, revealed to the police during doubting that they had run into a group of tourists on Tuesday while they were relaxing at the Sor Thor Ro 5 hills stance.

The suspect claimed that the party asked him to behave like a torpedo holding them prisoner and demanding money from them when they saw him using the pistol-shaped light.

According to the law, the Myanmar people may be accused of spreading false information and facing a maximum sentence of one month in jail and / or an additional fine of 10,000 baht.

Law can file a computer murder charge against the content creators if it is determined that they intended to harm Pattaya’s reputation. This charge carries an up to five-year prison sentence and / or an additional fine of 100,000 baht.
