Pembela to hold 'Malay Civilisation Day' in response to Bon Odori

KUALA LUMPUR: A “Malay Civilisation Day” is going to be held on This summer 30 here pursuing the large participation in the Bon Odori festival.

The event prepared by Associations of Islam Defenders (Pembela) will be held on Padang Merbok right here from 9am to 5pm.

The activities that will be held throughout the event have yet to be announced while the e-poster has been distributed on Facebook.

There are plans to be able to an annual event having an exhibition, parade and performances.

This particular follows the call for individuals to avoid Bon Odori recently, which was kept after a two-year hiatus on July 16 at the Shah Alam Sports Complex.

The 46th edition of the celebration noticed an estimated 35, 000 participants from throughout Malaysia attending the particular festivity.

Pembela had expressed the disappointment in seeing Muslims celebrating the particular Bon Odori Event, an annual cultural festival originating from Japan.
