On a busy roadway in Nakhon Si Thammarat on Tuesday morning, gunmen shot the cab with bullets, killing the lady driver of the trailer truck.
Around 6 a.m., the assault on south-bound Asian Highway 41 in tambon Na Bon was reported to the authorities.
A 22-wheel video vehicle with a refrigerated box of pasteurized milk was discovered on the road by police, firefighters, and medical personnel who had been dispatched to the scene. The window and door of the driver were covered in gun slots. According to the authorities, 17 shots were fired.
Lalinya Kosai, a female drivers from Chon Buri’s Bang Lamung neighborhood, was fatally shot in the head and brain while operating the vehicle. Susawat Paholayuth, 41, of Sukhothai, her father, was sobbing and waiting for the officers next to the car.
According to Mr. Susawat, he and his family alternated driving the vehicle. They were transporting bundles of pasteurized milk in a refrigerator from Saraburi to the Sadao neighborhood of Songkhla. Malaysia was the intended recipient of the cheese.
His wife was at the vehicle when the attack happened, and he was sleeping in the rear nook.
He was awakened by the noise of gunshots around 5 a.m. He overheard his family sobbing uncontrollably. He claimed that she was able to travel another 5 kilometers away from the scene before stopping, passing out, and passing ahead. He promptly dialed 911.
Before the killing, two men were in a pickup truck that was parked next to the road, according to testimony. The two gentlemen pulled out and pursued the video vehicle as it drove by.
According to Pol Col Chaiyaphat Sriruang, captain of Na Bon, they puilled up alongside and fired numerous photos into the driver’s cab. The delivery therefore took off quickly.
Authorities were still investigating the attack’s cause and looking for hints in security camera footage recorded along the way.
