21-year-old arrested after allegedly slashing man along Circular Road

SINGAPORE:   A 21-year-old man was arrested on Sunday (Jul 17) after this individual allegedly used the karambit to slash another man, causing multiple injuries.  

The authorities said they taken care of immediately a case on Weekend at about 2 . 10am, where a man acquired allegedly assaulted one more man along Spherical Road.

Initial investigations revealed that the 37-year-old man has been involved in a fight with a 21-year-old man.

The suspect had allegedly retaliated by slashing the particular 37-year-old with a karambit before he fled the scene.

The injured guy suffered multiple laceration wounds and was conscious when delivered to the hospital, the police said in a news release upon Monday.  

“Through extensive terrain enquires and with the aid of the images from police cameras, officials from Central Police Division and Felony Investigation Department founded the identity from the 21-year-old man and arrested him within 12 hours from the reported offence, ” said the police.  

A karambit which was purportedly used during the incident seemed to be seized.   The karambit is a curved blade with Southeast Asian roots .  

During the criminal arrest of the suspect, a 19-year-old man was also arrested for the offence of harbouring an offender.

Both men will be charged in court on Tuesday. The believe will be charged with voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapon and the 19-year-old will be charged with harbouring an offender.

Those who under your own accord cause grievous hurt with a dangerous weapon can be jailed for a lifetime, or jailed for up to 15 years and become liable to a fine or caning.
