CHON BURI: A Russian tourist was injured in an attack by guards at a go-go bar on Pattaya’s walking street early yesterday, police said.
The incident was reported to Pattaya police about 3.30am.
Police found the Russian man, identified as Oleg Rusovsiannikov, 33, bruised and bleeding in front of the bar. The three guards accused of assaulting Mr Oleg told police that he and his friend declined to pay their 1,900-baht bill, became agitated and began to fight with a pair of tourists who tried to help out.
The bar’s guards said they were only trying to break up the fight and kick the Russians out of the bar. Police are investigating.
