SINGAPORE: Two employees were injured following the false ceiling in seven rooms in North Coast Hotel dormitory collapsed.
The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) said the fall in the dormitory in Woodlands happened subsequent heavy rain and strong winds upon Sunday (Sep 25). Two other areas sustained damage through mild water leakage.
The two employees who were injured experienced minor cuts and received medical treatment. Regarding 100 residents in the affected rooms have already been relocated temporarily to rooms in the dormitory while repairs are ongoing, said MOM.
Forward Reassurance and Support Group (FAST) officers are actually deployed to the dormitory and MOM is conducting investigations.
“We are working with all the dormitory operator to support affected migrant employee residents, ” said MOM.
