Obec launches probe, school head moved

PHETCHABUN: Five students had been yesterday expelled amid accusations of rape at a Covid-19 isolation ward for girls in a boarding school within Muang district.

The school director has been transferred to a good inactive post, pending investigation.

The order created by Education Minister Trinuch Thienthong in response to accusations the boys experienced climbed into the dormitory and committed sexual offences against some of the students inside.

The parents of one victim, aged seventeen, filed a request with the ministry following the case failed to create progress since the incident on Aug 24.
