A murdered woman was found floating in a large community pond in Klaeng district of Rayong province on Wednesday morning, with marks on her neck suggesting she had been strangled.
The body was in Roi Rai pond (100-rai pond) in Nong Waen, beside an avoid road in tambon Thangkhwian. It was discovered by a local resident going fishing plus reported to police about 9. 30am.
Pol Lt Col Phantithi Sirimul said the woman was floating face down about 5 metres from the shore. Rescue workers gathered her body.
The girl was wearing a yellow-colored T-shirt with red-colored stripes and grey shorts with a pair of underpants worn more than them. The girl had bled through her mouth plus there were marks on her neck consistent with previously being strangled with a string or something comparable. She had “TIM BIW” tattooed on her behalf left arm and a star tattoo above the girl left ankle.
Investigators thought the unidentified girl had been dead a minimum of three days. The girl body was delivered to Klaeng Hospital with regard to post-mortem examination.
The man who also found the body stated he was walking around the pond, planning to catch some seafood. Shocked by their discovery, he ran all the way back to the village to tell others and report this to police
The intensive pond is remote, some distance in the community.
Police said the girl might have been killed elsewhere and her body later dumped within the pond. Local residents had not been able to identify her.
