The National Wellness Security Office (NHSO) says it will no longer compensate people encountering side-effects of Covid-19 vaccines, except gold-card universal healthcare people.
Deputy secretary-general Atthaporn Limpanyalert said the Covid-19 situation is starting to ease and will shortly be deemed an endemic, so the NHSO board on This summer 4 decided to evaluation the treatment compensation requirements.
Beneath the revised criteria, payment for those feeling the side effects of Covid-19 vaccines will only be compensated to members from the gold card plan, instead of all techniques previously.
The money will be attracted from national wellness security funds, not really from the budget beneath the emergency loan decree, Mr Atthaporn said.
“As for people who received Covid-19 vaccines from July 4 and created allergies or unwanted effects, the NHSO will look after those who are gold-card holders, ” he or she said.

Claims for settlement under other wellness schemes filed using the NHSO after July 4 will be sent to relevant firms, he said.
He additional that as of Friday, a total of twenty one, 139 people got filed claims seeking compensation under various healthcare schemes countrywide.
Of them, 12, 065 are subscribers of the gold-card scheme while some four, 691 are associates of the Social Protection Fund and some a few, 910 are city servants. Of the complete, 17, 559 have met the criteria just for compensation, he stated.
More than 2 billion baht has been paid towards the relatives of 4, 441 people who passed away or those who have become disabled, as well as, several 505 who have dropped their organs; and 11, 331 who had been injured, he mentioned.
