1,093 new Covid inpatients, 19 more deaths

The country registered one, 093 new inpatients admitted to private hospitals and 19 more Covid-19 related fatalities, the Ministry of Public Health reported on Sunday.

This compared to 1, 106 sufferers and 17 deaths reported on Saturday.

There was 1, 092 local cases and one imported case.

The 24-hour time period saw 2, 101 patients discharged through hospitals after recuperating.

Because the pandemic started in early 2020, there have been four, 667, 546 Covid-19 cases, including two, 444, 111 cases this year, with 4, 622, 241 total recoveries to date.

The accumulated death toll stood at 32, 539 since the beginning of the outbreak, including 10, 841 so far this year.

The highest number of Covid-related fatalities inside a 24-hour period was 312 recorded on Aug 13, 2021. The highest number of cases was 28, 379 upon April 1, 2022.
