NAKHON RATCHASIMA: A teacher has been accused of sexually assaulting 22 children, most of who attended the school in which he worked, and posting videos of the functions on social media.
Pol Luxury touring Gen Surachate Hakparn, assistant national police chief, said upon Tuesday that this was one of four situations of sexual attack and human trafficking being tackled with the Thailand Internet Crime Against Children (TICAC) unit under Provincial Police Region 3 or more. He drew specific attention to two instances.
Within the first, the TICAC was supplied with information by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, via the United States Department of Homeland Security, about a social media account using the name “Learning Thai language with Khru Art” which have been uploaded featuring a mass of pornographic material.
The data led to the police arrest of Nantaphan Chanaphai, the teacher in the school in Nakhon Ratchasima, under a courtroom warrant.
While searching their house, police discovered mobile phones and desktop computer computers allegedly packed with tens of thousands of pornographic videos. Of those, 639 featured the sexual misuse of children, allegedly documented by the teacher on his phones. Most were students at a college where he had proved helpful since 2020.
A total of 22 children were victims in this case, Pol Lt Gen Surachate said.
In the other case, Baramee Thongthip, 22, a student at a college in Nakhon Ratchasima, was arrested following a woman filed a police complaint towards him.
The woman said the particular student had attracted her 15-year-old son into having intercourse with him, recorded this and posted the video on the internet.
During the arrest, police examined his mobile phone and found it was full of pornographic materials — including 49 files of still pictures and 112 video files. Two from the clips involved the particular complainant’s 15-year-old boy.
Mister Baramee allegedly accepted to having posted communications online inviting individuals to have sex with your pet. He used the mobile phone to record their sexual actions and posted the videos online to get a select group of about 1, 500 members. The membership charge was 200-250 baht. Police examined their bank account and discovered about a million baht had been moved via it.
