Rude, cheating tuk-tuk driver hit by fine

A tuk-tuk drivers was fined recently and ordered to undergo three hours of good behaviour training for becoming rude and intense towards a Singapore couple.

Thung Mahamek law enforcement fined Thongkham Cherdchai, 1, 000 baht for having the wrong licence to a drive open public transport vehicle. Thongkham, 57, was also found to have used incorrect language with his people. He was likewise ordered to attend a three-hour course to improve his behaviour.

Tourist Police commissioner Pol Maj Gen Suthun Prommayon instructed police to get the driver after a movie by the couple — singapore incidents — was posted on the Instagram on Weekend, complaining of their “horrible” experience in Bangkok.

The video shows the driver making use of abusive language to the couple while sitting on a footpath close to his parked vehicle apparently on Sathon Road. The couple mentioned the driver demanded 300 baht from them despite the fact that they’d settled on 160 baht when he picked them up at Siam Paragon shopping centre for a trip to Surasak BTS station. The particular tourists refused to give him more money which angered the driver.
