There were twenty three more Covid-19 deaths and 1, 942 new patients accepted to hospitals upon Friday, the Ministry of Public Wellness reported on Saturday morning.
This compared with twenty-four coronavirus-related fatalities and 2, 046 patients on Thursday, as reported on Fri.
As of midnight Friday, a total of 16, 723 people were receiving Covid-19 treatment (up from 16, 447 the prior day), including almost eight, 664 in hospitals (up from 8, 493). Of the remainder, 137 were in field hospitals/hospitel amenities (down from 140) and 7, 856 in home/community solitude (up from seven, 751), while 66 others were not specific.
Of these in hospitals, 716 were seriously sick with lung inflammation (down from 729) and 357 influenced by ventilators (down through 367).
The 24-hour time period also saw 1, 643 patients discharged from hospitals right after recovering.
Among the 1, 942 new inpatients in the last 24 hours, there were one, 941 cases within the general population then one imported case.

From August 21 to twenty-seven, 173, 234 people tested positive to get Covid-19 via antigen tests. That directed to 24, 747 new Covid-19 situations daily on average on the seven-day period.
Since the pandemic started in early 2020, there have been 4, 656, 911 Covid-19 cases, including 2, 433, 476 this year, with 4, 607, 813 complete recoveries up to now.
The accumulated death toll stood at 32, 375 since the start of the pandemic, including 10, 677 so far this season.
The highest number of Covid-related fatalities in a 24-hour time period was 312 recorded on Aug 13, 2021. The highest number of instances was 28, 379 on April one, 2022.
