Illegal casino heist triggers transfers

Five older Din Daeng police station officers have already been transferred pending an inquiry into claimed negligence after security camera footage showing an armed guy stealing cash from the gambling den went viral.

The footage was first posted on the “team big kren” Fb page on Wednesday evening. According to the “Sai Mai Tong Rot” Facebook page, in which the footage was also published, the robbery occurred earlier that day time.

The footage shows an armed man within a red cap having a tattoo on his pinky finger waving a gun within the gambling den and snatching cash from the plastic box in the space of a minute.

Police said the suspect stole about 300, 000 baht within cash.

The suspect has been later identified as “Mac Anusawaree”.
