PM avoids Govt House as protests continue

The prime minister stayed away from Government Home on Wednesday since protesters rallied nearby insisting that their legal eight-year-tenure underneath the constitution has ended and he lacks the legitimacy to remain in workplace.

Style Prayut  Chan-o-Cha was reported to be working from his residence inside the 1st Soldires Regiment barracks upon Vibhavadi road on Wednesday morning.

Some of the protesters had moved from the Victory Monument on Phahon Yothin road and the Democracy Monument on Ratchadamnoen method and stayed immediately in front of the Rajamangala University or college of Technology Phra Nakhon.

Security remain limited around Government House, where it was tranquil, and police manned barricades on approaching roads.

On Wednesday morning, the road from before Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon to Suan Misakawan intersection was still closed to traffic.

The Chamai Maruchet link in front of Government House was still blocked with shipping storage containers and rolls associated with razor wire. Law enforcement were stationed at the rear of the containers. (continues below)

Regarding 9. 30am, Gen Prayut chaired a conference with a committee on industrial competition.  

He reportedly got delegated Deputy Best Minister and International Minister Don Pramudwinai to preside over the presentation ceremony for your Prime Minister’s Award: National Startup as well as the Prime Minister’s Honor: Innovation for Turmoil at the Santi Maitree building at Government House in the mid-day.

Mouthpiece Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwon would chair a video conference meeting of the National Cybersecurity Committee, from the office of the Five Provinces Bordering Forest Preservation Foundation on Phahon Yothin road.
