Patient dies in fall from hospital building

SAMUT PRAKAN: A patient along with chronic heart plus lung disease passed away in a fall from your fourth floor of the building at Hammer Chak Hospital within Phra Pradaeng area on Sunday mid-day, police said.

The man has been believed to have taken their own life.

Pol Capt Chai Polsri, an detective at Phra Pradaeng, said witnesses told police Chanchai Phungpook, 47, fell from your fourth floor from the six-storey building to the ground below.

He has been rushed to an emergency ward and had been later pronounced dead.

Chanchai was admitted towards the hospital four days ago for the treatment of heart and lung disease.

His brother Chaichana Phungpook, 46, mentioned Chanchai told him he worried about his chronic illnesses plus talked about committing suicide by jumping from the hospital building, but he did not think his brother would certainly actually do it.

The police investigation into his death was continuing.
