Malaysia’s chicken export to be considered only if domestic supply not affected, says special task force against inflation

PUTRAJAYA: The acceptance to export poultry will only be considered if the domestic chicken supply is not affected, stated the chairman associated with Malaysia’s special task force against pumpiing Annuar Musa upon Wednesday (Aug 17).

“We have to ensure that domestic supply is not really affected at the expenditure of pursuing a higher profit margin, particularly in Singapore which is ready to buy at a higher price, ” he told reporters.

Mr Annuar said this when asked to comment on a statement by domestic trade and customer affairs deputy minister Rosol Wahid.

Mr Rosol had said that the Cupboard would finalise your decision on whether farmers could export poultry on Wednesday.
