PUTRAJAYA: The acceptance to export poultry will only be considered if the domestic chicken supply is not affected, stated the chairman associated with Malaysia’s special task force against pumpiing Annuar Musa upon Wednesday (Aug 17).
Mister Annuar said this is to ensure that the price of chickens can be controlled.
He also stated that the issue involving provisions of subsidies in order to chicken farmers needs to be fine-tuned.

“Apart from the issue of export, all of us also have to deal with the issue of how long the subsidy is to be maintained. Whenever we suddenly allow export and end financial assistance, the price of chicken will certainly soar again.
“We have to ensure that domestic supply is not really affected at the expenditure of pursuing a higher profit margin, particularly in Singapore which is ready to buy at a higher price, ” he told reporters.
Mr Annuar said this when asked to comment on a statement by domestic trade and customer affairs deputy minister Rosol Wahid.
Mr Rosol had said that the Cupboard would finalise your decision on whether farmers could export poultry on Wednesday.
Mr Annuar who is also the Ressortchef (umgangssprachlich) of Communications plus Multimedia said Cabinet members had discussed the permission to export chicken for which the Department associated with Veterinary Services experienced submitted several recommendations.
“As of today, the Cabinet have not made any decision (permission to export chicken). The relevant ministries and departments will follow up on data preparation and so on, ” this individual said.
Mr Annuar said that right now, the domestic need for chickens in the country is about 70 million each month or about second . 2 million chickens a day.
