Bhumjaithai eyes 19 seats in the South

Krabi: The Bhumjaithai Party has set the sights on winning at least 19 constituency MP seats in the South in the next political election, tentatively scheduled to happen next year.

Speaking before the official unveiling of the party’s candidates in Krabi and Phangnga provinces today, Saritpong Kiewkong, the party’s MP from Krabi’s Constituency 2, said he or she is confident his celebration would be able to snatch the seats as it has been doing a lot to help local people over the past three years, including promoting important infrastructure projects.

According to Mr Saritpong, the party needs to win chairs in Krabi, Satun, Phangnga, Phuket, Phatthalung, Ranong, Songkhla plus Pattani.

“We believe we will be able to convince these to vote for our party to effect change within their homeland, ” he said.

He said the party has place in a good performance to win the minds and minds associated with local voters right after it was able to win eight seats within the South in the previous election on March twenty-four, 2019.

He said the party was able to invest in and push forwards two projects including the successful expansion of the hospital in Ranong and the proposed building of a sea link linking Koh Lanta district with Khlong Thom district in Krabi.

He said the government has currently approved a budget of 1. 85 billion baht to construct the two-kilometre sea bridge.

Construction is expected to be completed in the next two years. Once completed, it would cut journey times to a couple of minutes or less, he said, adding every boat trip presently takes one hour from your mainland to Koh Lanta.

“Local residents are incredibly happy with this ocean bridge project because it will make their lives easier, ” he noted.

He said his party is interested in mega-construction projects, pledging to build up an addition of transportation networks that combines road, rail, air plus sea ports.

“Let’s find what we can do in the South in the next ten years, ” he stated.
