Stephen Colbert announces Louis Cato as new band leader on ‘The Late Show’

Colbert thanked the Oscar and Grammy Award-winning Batiste on Thursday’s episode associated with “The Late Show. ”
“We’ve already been so lucky to get a front row chair to Jon’s incredible talent for the past 7 years. And will we all miss him here? ‘Yeaaa! ‘ But we’re happy for you personally, Jon, and I aint able to wait to have you back on because guest with your next hit record, ” Colbert said.
Cato, that has worked with artists which includes Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, John Legend, plus Talib Kweli, provides served as interim bandleader this summer and can take over on a long term basis.

“Louis has done a great work this summer, and he is extremely humble, so he won’t say this particular. But I will. He is a musical genius. He can play essentially every instrument more than there. Give him a few hours, he’ll learn how to play Mozart on a shoehorn, inch Colbert said.
Cato, who has been using the show since its launch, will be joined by Joe Saylor and longtime home band members Louis Fouché, Jon Lampley, Endea Owens and Nêgah Santos.

The eighth time of year of “The Past due Show With Stephen Colbert” will premiere Tuesday, Sept. six.
