KL cops nab duo who broke into neighbour's apartment to steal food

KUALA LUMPUR: Two men have been arrested for allegedly breaking into a neighbour’s to steal food.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Farouk Eshak, in a statement on Sunday (Oct 30), said that the apartment owner heard loud noises outside her apartment in Kampung Ampang Campuran here on Saturday.

“The 38-year-old housewife peeked through a hole and saw that two men had broken into the food storage area. Two packets of food worth RM30 were stolen.

“At 6am the same day, two men aged 21 and 22 were arrested. One had a prior criminal record,” he said, adding that the suspects were the victim’s neighbours.

It is believed the two were having monetary difficulties and were jobless.

Both have been remanded until Nov 4.
