Flash floods kill more than 500 people in Pakistan during heaviest rains in decades

ISLAMABAD: Flash surges caused by abnormally heavy monsoon rains killed at least 549 people in Pakistan over the past month, along with remote communities within the impoverished southwestern state of Balochistan one of the worst hit, the government agency said.
