The Government Lottery Office (GLO) will raise the number of lottery tickets available online through 9. 1 million this month in order to 10. 1-10. five million for the following draw on Sept 1 .

GLO chairman Lavaron Sangsnit said on Wednesday the number of tickets for the next draw would increase by 1-1. 5 million to meet demand.

The GLO invited about several, 000 lottery vendors to sign agreements to sell some of their subgroup online to raise the number to that level.

Mr Lavaron said that digital seat tickets ensured that purchasers could buy every ticket at the official price of 80 baht to mitigate the problem of overpriced lottery ticket prices on the street.

Digital tickets   had been highly popular so that as many as seven. 4 million out of 9. 1 mil tickets available online for the Aug 16 draw were sold inside the first day of sale, he mentioned.

The number of lottery tickets available online would be increased by 1-2 million seat tickets per draw till digital tickets remained available for 7-10 times for each draw. The GLO would raise the number gradually to give enough time for regular vendors to adjust, Mr Lavaron stated.

This individual did not say when the GLO would eventually raise the number of electronic tickets to 20 zillion as earlier noted. The GLO complications 100 million lottery tickets per drawing.
