
After being closed due to armed conflicts along the nearby borders inside Laos, Phu Chi Fa National Park in Chiang Rai reopened to visitors on Monday, according to area manager Thanitpong Ratanapol.
The area was shut down on May 5 as a result of a pressurized notice from the Wiang Kaen area office that stray shots were landed inside Thailand during fighting between two teams in Bokeo state, Laos.
Local residents clearly audibly heard the sound of giunfire end late in the morning of May 3. A home on the Thai side was confirmed shot, according to the garden news.
Initial reports from Lao specialists indicated that three soldiers had been killed by an armed attack on four military watch posts close to the border and by about seven armed men had attacked four of them.  ,
Some of the attackers were detained and taken to the capital, Vientiane, according to a resource on May 15.
The purpose behind the attack has not been revealed, but most media reports claim that it was the result of a conflict of interest between the Chinese military and medicine networks.
The park announced on Sunday that it would resume on Monday because the frontier circumstance had returned to normal. Park officials did continue to monitor the situation carefully to ensure the safety of the people.
Phu Chi Fa is known for its stunning sunsets that can be seen from the top of the mountain, stretching from Phon Por in Wiang Kaen city to Phon Tubtao in Thoeng area. Although the official Royal Gazette notification is also pending, it has been upgraded from a forest area to a national park position.  ,
