Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has stated that he will defend his position only if he achieves substantial results in his first term in response to calls for him to battle a second word nearly eight weeks into his administration.
Prabowo, 73, made the statement on Saturday ( May 17 ) during a speech to members of his Gerindra party’s youth organization, Tunas Indonesia Raya, in Jakarta, during which delegates expressed their support for a two-term presidency.  ,
” I heard some of you say” Pravbowo two terms,” so please don’t speak up about that. According to local media outlet Jakarta Globe, he said at Hotel Borobudur,” We have not even completed a year of this mandate.”
The government’s remarks, according to local media, came as a result of growing political debate in ruling parties regarding the 2029 national poll.

Prabowo also pledged on Saturday that his administration’s anti-graft onslaught will continue despite law enforcement facing harassment while conducting corruption investigations.
