
The Similan Islands will be closed for five times while they undergo healthy restoration and managing elevation, with all visitors required to purchase e-tickets when the islands reopen.
According to Warawut Saengthong, acting commander of Mu Ko Similan National Park, which is located in the Andaman Sea off the coast of Phang Nga state, the shutdown will begin on Friday and last until October 14.

Visitors to the Similan Islands will be required to use their id number if Thai or card number if unusual when purchasing tickets online starting October 15, because the department’s e-ticket system includes the national parks that are adopting the department’s e-ticket system.
Visitors can purchase tickets either before their vacation or before 8 a.m. on the day of their appearance.
If visit operators give out information that does not meet the system’s records, they will be subject to a great of 5, 000 baht, fines of 20, 000 baht for the second offense, and penalties of 100, 000 baht for the next.
Repeated violations, according to Mr. Warawut, may cause the work permits to be reconsidered.
Due to severe summer winds and strong winds affecting the place, the 140-square-kilometer area was temporarily closed to visitors on Monday and Tuesday.
