Parents alerted to danger of ‘cartoon’ drugs

Families have been advised to pay close attention to the multiply of medicines in cartoon shape that could be used to trick kids. According to the Food and Drug Administration of Thailand ( FDA ), their effects may be fatal.

According to Dr Withid Sariddeeechaikool, assistant secretary-general of the FDA, a delivery of” Molly” medications found to contain a combination of methamphetamine and ecstasy in March.

He claimed that this could have a significant impact on the central nervous system, which could lead to hallucinations, irregular rhythm, high blood pressure, and a stroke that could lead to suicide.

Ecstasy supplements in the shape of the well-known Labubu characters are also very common, especially during the Songkran event last month.

One 840 rate medications and 525 joy pills in Doraemon shapes were taken by police in Bangkok on Wednesday.

According to Pol Lt Gen Siam Boonsom, commander of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, the suspect identified as Witsanu, 30, told authorities that the film drugs were well-known and sold for 300 ringgit per tablet.

Children could be easily deceived and persuaded to purchase unsafe drugs in cutting-edge film designs, Dr. Withid said.
