Thailand’s interior minister has demanded results from a probe into the decline of the Chinese-constructed State Audit Office creating within seven days as four Chinese workers were questioned for snatching files from the area.

China has sent an analyst to examine the crumble site.

Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said on Sunday that a committee was formed to carry out the investigation and it was expected to assume the probe in seven days.

The commission comprised expert professionals from the Department of Public Works and Town &amp, Country Planning and trusted experts, he said.

” Thailand may quickly find out why the building collapsed. It was just built and should have been designed to withstand disasters”, the internal minister said.

He referred to the 30-storey creating slated to be the novel office of the State Audit Office in Chatuchak city of Bangkok. The State Audit Office contracted a collaboration of Italian-Thai Development Plc and China Railway No. 10 Engineering Group to develop the 2.1-billion-baht tower.

Chinese ambassador to Bangkok Han Zhiqiang brought a Taiwanese specialist in tunnel collapse and disasters from the Chinese Ministry of Emergency Management to match Mr Anutin on Sunday.

After the conference, the interior minister said the Chinese professional observed the crumble site. He also said that the group was informed that the Chinese company was never allowed to enter the place.

” The earthquake caused a seismic magnitude of 7.8 but more than 95 % of buildings withstood it. Collapse happened only to the State Audit building”, Mr Anutin said.

” This tower was recently constructed. Therefore, it should have endured an disaster”, he said.

The investigation may focus on engineers, construction bosses and developers, &nbsp, Mr Anutin said. The Thai and Chinese colleagues in the development partnership would have to promote duty, &nbsp,

He also said that volunteers were trying to reach trapped survivors as soon as possible.

However, Pol Maj Gen Noppasin Poonsawat, deputy director of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, said officers questioned four Foreign men who took 32 data from vessels behind the fell building.

The four people had work permits and worked for a business that was a part of the collaboration of Italian-Thai Development, he said.

According to the lieutenant Bangkok police chief, the data contained various documents including details about companies and subcontractors. Authorities seized the papers and released the Foreign men after their investigation.

The Chinese males told authorities that they gathered the documents to make plan compensation claims. The Chatuchak city office may file a grievance against them.

However, Bangkok government Chadchart Sittipunt asked the proprietors of large buildings, theatres, resorts, billboards and plants to test their developing strength and security within two weeks.

The demand applied to:

  • properties that are at least 23 metres high
  • houses with storage of at least 10, 000 sq feet
  • conference venues for at least 500 individuals or covering at least 1, 000 sq metres&nbsp,
  • theatres
  • establishments with at least 80 areas
  • company parlours with places covering at least 200 square feet
  • condo and apartment complexes covering at least 5, 000 square feet
  • posters that are at least 15 metres high or support at least 50 sq metres
  • top billboards that include at least 25 square feet
