65 vapes suspected to contain cannabis compound seized during drug raids

SINGAPORE: &nbsp, A total of 36 suspected drug criminals were arrested in an activity on Apr 2, targeting transactions carried out on messaging apps like Telegram.

The operation netted arround 333g of cannabis, 13g of Ice, 5g of ketamine, 1g of heroin, 42 Erimin- 5 pills, two Ecstasy pills and 65 vaping devices suspected to contain tetrahydrocannabinol ( THC), which is the main psychoactive compound in cannabis, &nbsp, the Central Narcotics Bureau ( CNB) said on Saturday ( Apr 6 ).

The drugs seized have an estimated street value of about S$ 19, 000 ( US$ 14, 080 ).

Among those arrested by CNB soldiers were two Singaporeans for&nbsp, suspected drug trafficking&nbsp, crimes. &nbsp,

A 32- yr- ancient woman&nbsp, was arrested at her house in the vicinity of Compassvale Drive in Sengkang. Officials seized&nbsp, about 123g of hemp and several drug equipment from her room.

A 26- yr- older man was likewise arrested at his home in the&nbsp, vicinity of&nbsp, Bedok North Street 3, where&nbsp, 107g of cannabis and different drug paraphernalia were found.

” Those who think they can carry out their drug activities with impunity by using chat applications&nbsp, such as Telegram will do well to think again”, said&nbsp, Deputy Assistant Commissioner ( DAC ) &nbsp, Aaron Tang, CNB’s director of intelligence. &nbsp,

“CNB will not be discouraged from carrying out&nbsp, police action against like drug offenders simply because such talk programs offer for privacy.” Whatever the programs they are using, we will intensify our efforts to find and introduce them.
