543,000 travellers crossed Singapore-Malaysia land checkpoints on Sep 6 in single-day record

SINGAPORE: More than 543, 000 travellers&nbsp, crossed the Singapore-Malaysia land border on Sep 6, &nbsp, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority ( ICA ) said on Monday ( Nov 11 ).

The single-day report was logged during the&nbsp, September class breaks from Aug 30 to August 8, said the expert.

During the time, more than five million tourists crossed the Woodlands and Tuas gates, ICA added.

According to Malaysian customers tailback, car travelers who traveled during peak times had to wait up to three hours for multiculturalism certification.

The previous record of&nbsp, 510, 000 guests crossing the property gates was set on&nbsp, Mar 28.

During the school holidays, November 15 through January 1, 2025, heavy traffic is anticipated at the property gates.

Travelers are advised to account for longer waiting times, particularly on the vacation. Nevertheless, travellers can contemplate taking the cross-border vehicle service”.

The power cautioned against traveling without hesitation and taking severe punishment for those who disobey officials ‘ orders and commit crimes at checkpoints.
