Officials said on Friday that quarantine and eight passengers on a Singapore Airlines flight that was diverted to Bangkok were still receiving medical care after experiencing intense turbulence.

According to a declaration from Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital, the 48 people were receiving care in three Bangkok facilities. No information was provided regarding the people receiving extensive treatment.

The producer of Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital announced to the media on Thursday that 20 persons were receiving care in the ICU despite the absence of any potentially fatal cases.

Six persons have been discharged from the hospital where most of the people were, leaving 34 remaining under care including nine Australians, seven British, seven Malaysian and three Spanish people, the statement said.

One customer died of a suspected heart attack, &nbsp, and dozens were injured after Singapore Airport Flight SQ321, flying from London to Singapore, encountered what the airport described as rapid, extraordinary turmoil while flying over Myanmar.
