SINGAPORE: Forty-six schools will get new principals next year as part of the Ministry of Education’s ( MOE ) appointment and rotation exercise.
Of the institutions, 22 are secondary colleges and 24 are major universities.
In a media release on Wednesday ( October 9 ) MOE stated that the process of appointing and rotating principals allows schools to gain from new perspectives and enables experienced principals to share best practices across schools.
Our leaders will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and advance the function of the institutions they are being appointed to lead.
22 of the leaders will take over a school for the first time at a meeting on December 27.
” For the 22 recently appointed principals, this is an important job step as they assume greater obligations as officials in training”, MOE said.
It is an assurance of MOE’s confidence in the other 24 teachers who will be assuming fresh principalship meetings in terms of leading and guiding our faculty, staff, and students in schools.
