PATNA:  , At least 46 people, including 37 children, have drowned while celebrating a Hindu festival in eastern India, a local government official told AFP on Thursday ( Sep 26 ).
According to a representative from the Bihar Disaster Management Department, the victims of individual drowning incidents took place in separate instances in Bihar position while they were ceremonially bathing in flooded rivers and ponds.
The official, who was not authorized to speak to the media, claimed that people took to unsafe water levels in rivers and ponds while taking baths to enjoy this festival.
As followers celebrated the Jitiya Parv Hindu festival, which mothers observe to ensure the safety of their children, on Tuesday in 15 districts of Bihar status, there were drownings.
According to the official, officials were also attempting to recover three additional systems.
Jitiya Parv spans several days, is present in some of Nepal’s southern prairies, along with the state of Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand, and is observed in some of the states.
According to the federal standard, the express state of Bihar has made compensation available for the families of the victims.
