SINGAPORE: A 42-year-old man was on Thursday ( Dec 12 ) charged with the murder of a 34-year-old woman at Block 210, Hougang Street 21.
Du Zaixing, a Taiwanese national, is accused of causing the death of Ms Dao Thi Hong at a ground-floor product at around 11.05am on Tuesday.
Charge bedding did not specify how Ms. Dao passed away.
The death penalty is imposed for the death offenders.
Du appeared in court via video-link from his place of trial, wearing a black T-shirt. He followed the deliberations through a Mandarin speaker.
He will be held indefinitely for one year, with consent to have him off for investigation. According to the police counsel, Du’s real presence was necessary to perform scene examinations and retrieve evidence.
The judge granted the request, and on December 19 he scheduled his case’s second mention.
