MANILA: & nbsp, On Monday, May 1, an unknown power outage at Terminal 3 of a Manila airport resulted in the cancellation of about 40 domestic Cebu Pacific flights.
Without disclosing the reason for the power outage, the Ninoy Aquino International Airport stated in a statement posted on Facebook that” trip difficulties are expected due to the offence.”
According to the report, backup energy systems were supplying electricity to important facilities, allowing immigration and aircraft computers to process both inbound and outbound travellers.
The power outage, which occurs during a busy holiday season when many Filipinos are about to return home from three-day weekends trips, was being investigated by the air-port operator and supplier Manila Electric Company.
Cebu Pacific stated in a statement that passengers leaving and arriving from Terminal 3 could reschedule or ask for refunds to be applied to future travelling expenses.
According to his office, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has given Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista instructions to restart healthy energy services at the airline’s Terminal 3 as soon as possible while helping affected passengers.
