According to preliminary examinations, four Malaysians who died after attending a Sunway Lagoon theme park’s New Year’s Eve music are thought to have taken the drug ecstasy.
Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan stated in a press release on Thursday ( January 2 ) that the police are still waiting for confirmation of the victims ‘ toxicology reports.
According to Hussein, three other people who attended the Sunway Lagoon’s Surf Beach concert on December 31 even showed the signs of the similar symptoms, according to Hussein. He went on to explain what the indicators were.
Two are in intensive care in medical while one has been discharged, he said.
The seven sufferers had attended the music, a 20-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur’s town centre, differently. Some people had family members and others had companions.
The subjects ‘ police reports were obtained from the Universiti Malaya Medical Center and Kuala Lumpur Hospital, respectively, from six and six.
Six testimony have given remarks and several others, including the musical organisers and sufferers ‘ friends, may be called to help with investigations.
Hussein added that the police are also looking into whether there was any criminal activity, including whether any of the seven of them had been poisoned. He urged anyone with information to email Subang Jaya authorities or the local police stations.  ,

The music organiser, Pinkfish Management, as well as the authorities have confirmed that the incidents occurred outside of the show’s facilities but Pinkfish Management has said it did completely engage in the examinations.  ,
In a statement posted on Instagram on Thursday afternoon, it stated that” we are working closely with the appropriate agencies to provide the needed support to those impacted, including the families of the deceased,” and that” the safety and well-being of our visitors, staff, and surrounding area have always been our top goal.”  ,
Pinkfish Management added that K9 units and more than 100 police officers had been stationed at all entrances for the music and that extensive protection measures had been in spot.
