37 cyclists fined for breaching group size rule on the road

SINGAPORE: Thirty-seven riders were fined after they were caught violating the class size rule during a subsequent police activity.

The joint operation was conducted by the Land Transport Authority ( LTA ) and the Traffic Police on September 28 and October 13.

Traffic Police and LTA officers also talked to cyclists during these operations to raise awareness of cycling laws and guidelines, according to a news release released on Friday ( October 18 ).

Stipulations for breaking the party size rule apply to cyclists who are caught breaking the team size rule.

This structure great amount is increased starting on January 1, 2022 to increase road safety and applies to those who violate other existing riding laws.

This includes failure to stop at red lighting, riding on motorways, and riding abreast of another rider along single-lane roads or within vehicle lanes during vehicle street operating hours, said the authorities. &nbsp,

On previous police functions on Jul 28 and Aug 4, charges were meted out to 32 bikers for&nbsp, flouting&nbsp, the class size law.
