
At least three people were killed and 12 were hurt when a car crashed into a group of mostly students outside a school in Taiwan on Monday ( May 19 ), according to police.
Around 4 p.m., a 78-year-old man’s vehicles ran a red lighting and struck three motorcycles and pedestrians when hitting the students and adults.
Authorities videos show individuals putting their hands on injured patients lying on the ground, emergency personnel removing them, and motorcycles and motorbikes on their sides.
Paper and various pieces of garbage were scattered across the crossroads.
The car accelerated suddenly for unknown reasons, according to authorities in a statement.
According to police, 15 people, including the drivers, were transported with “varying severity” injuries to three hospitals.
Two 12-year-old ladies and a 40-year-old woman were the only ones who eventually passed away in the clinic.
