3 Chinese men arrested with 2,000 SIM cards near border

On Monday night, TAK-Highway authorities detained three Chinese people and a Thai person in tambon Nam Ruem of Muang city with about 2, 000 fresh SIM cards.

Bridge police chief Pol Maj Gen Kongkrit Lertsitthikul identified the Thai believe as Narong Sunanta, 53, and the three Chinese people as Hai Yang, 25, Zhen Yong Liang, 31, and Lin Zhen, 31.

When authorities stopped the gold Toyota Altis car for a search, the group was traveling there. The Thai man was driving.

The customers did not have any identification documents, but they did have five cellular phones and about 2, 000 brand-new SIM cards. They were subsequently detained for research because they were suspected of being a part of a telephone scam gang, according to Pol Maj Gen Kongkrit.

Mr. Narong claimed to have picked up the Chinese men and transported them to Tak’s Mae Sot city after picking them up at a resort in Sukhothai state. He claimed to have flown Chinese citizens to Mae Sot’s borders area several times for 3, 000 Baht per vacation.

The three Foreign men claimed to have arrived from Cambodia and stayed at a hotel close to the Suvarnabhumi airports before heading to Sangat. They claimed they planned to travel to Myanmar by e-boat from Mae Sot city.

According to Pol Maj Gen Kongkrit, the three men informed officers that a friend owned the SIM accounts.
