26-year-old man arrested in Cavenagh Road drug raid; 6.9kg of cannabis seized

The Central Narcotics Bureau ( CNB) announced in a news release on Friday ( Mar 21 ) that nearly 7 kg of cannabis was seized during a drug raid that resulted in the arrest of a 26-year-old man.

The total amount of medication seized is thought to be more than S$ 184, 000 ( US$ 38, 000 ), which could potentially provide a week’s worth of drug abuse for about 1, 040 abusing people.

CNB officers conducted a personal residence raid near Cavenagh Road on Wednesday during the procedure.

After the occupant refused to follow officers ‘ orders, they were forced to break into the unit. In one of the rooms, the man was taken into custody.

A search of that bedroom turned up six bottles of GHB ( gamma-hydroxybutyrate ), six LSD ( lysergic acid diethylamide ), and six bottles of ketamine ( gma-hydroxybutyrate ) ( 69g of ketamine ), 21g of ketamine, 20g of Ecstasy, and 6 885g of cannabis.

Over S$ 6, 200 in income, and some foreign assets were also discovered on the person, along with small amounts of cannabis and morphine, over S$ 6, 200 in money. &nbsp,

Another 25g of hemp, 25g of psilocybin mushrooms, 17g of snow, and a small amount of ketamine were discovered in his car&nbsp, which was parked in the same personal compound&nbsp.

According to CNB’s assistant director of policy and administration Sng Chern Hong,” this significant cannabis arrest is a sign that cannabis is still in need.”

“CNB would like to inform the people that cannabis is not a “harmless fruit material,” as is frequently misrepresented, especially by those who support legalization of marijuana,” said the NB.

The arrest suspect’s involvement in drug trafficking is still being investigated. &nbsp,

Anyone who is found guilty of trafficking more than 500 grams of marijuana faces the death sentence that must be carried out.
