2,240 new Covid inpatients, 28 more deaths

The nation registered 28 more Covid-19 fatalities plus 2, 240 brand new cases admitted in order to hospitals during the prior 24 hours, the Public Health Ministry announced upon Wednesday morning.

This compared to the 27 coronavirus-related fatalities and 994 new cases admitted to hospitals reported on Tuesday morning.

All of the 2, 240 brand new patients were local cases.

On Tuesday, one, 917 Covid-19 sufferers were discharged from hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus while 15, 754 other people were receiving treatment (up from 15, 459 the previous day).

Because the pandemic started in early 2020, there have been four, 650, 919 Covid-19 cases, including 2, 427, 484 this season, with 4, 602, 862 complete recoveries to date.

The accumulated death toll stood with 32, 303 because the beginning of the pandemic, which includes 10, 605 so far this year.
