NARCOTICS: The Royal Thai Police (RTP ) arrested 21 defendants in 10 medication- related cases from May 31 to June 11, associate federal police chief Pol Lt Gen Samran Nualma said on Monday.

A total of 911kg of crystal meth, 36 million meth medications, and 5.16kg of cocaine were seized.

According to Pol Lt Gen Gen Khirisak Tantinvachai, director of the Narcotics Suppression Bureau ( NSB), the number of prosecutions over the past eight times is about twice as high as it was last year.

In all cases, medications were being trafficked worldwide.

He said that more stringent immigration and border security measures have been put in place to stop any pharmaceuticals from entering the country. A significant number of drug traffickers are also now being watched.
